How a Latex Balloon is Produced Using a Screen Printing Machine

The printing of graphics and designs on balloons is very popular for promotional use, parties and events.screen printing machine latex balloon Despite this, many people are unsure about how printed latex balloons are actually produced. Unlike other types of printing, where the balloons are printed flat or deflated, latex balloons are printed whilst they are inflated. The process is carried out using a special screen printing machine that has been designed specifically for the unique surface of a latex balloon. In addition, our machines use flexible inks that adhere well to the surface of a latex balloon and that dry quickly.

This allows us to produce high quality prints that will stand the test of time, even when used outdoors or indoors. It also means that a balloon printed with a logo, for example, will not leak once it is blown up again. The common misconception is that balloons are printed when they are flat or deflated, but this would not provide the same quality of print and only serves to damage the balloon. Our machines ‘clamp’ each balloon to apply the ink, this also helps the balloon to stay still and prevents leaking once it has been printed. The balloons are then passed through a heat source to assist the drying process before being deflated back to their natural size and shape.
