Choosing the wrong size can lead to uneven or inconsistent ink deposits, and it can also impact the overall appearance of your prints.

There are several different mesh sizes, ranging from 30 to 61 threads per inch to 80 to 86 threads per inch. Higher mesh counts are typically reserved for fine-detailed or high-resolution images, while lower mesh counts are best suited for simple text and big logos. Mesh diameter is an important factor to consider, as well, because it influences how much ink passes through the mesh. For example, a 156-64 mesh screen will deposit more ink than a 230-48 mesh screen, because it has larger openings.
