How to Use a Silhouette Auto Sheet Feeder
The auto sheet feeder is a great accessory for the Silhouette cutting machines. It works just like the paper feeders that you find in conventional printers and allows you to automatically load multiple sheets of material into your machine and cut them all at once. It saves a lot of time and makes bulk cutting much easier.
Whether you're making cards for a special occasion, party decorations or just some home decor items the auto sheet feeder is a great tool to have. It makes the process much quicker and simpler and also helps eliminate mistakes since you don't have to manually load each individual piece of material into your machine.
The Sheet Feeder is a matless cutter that works just like the paper feeders in conventional printers. It lets you stack up to 20 printed sheets into it and then automatically feeds them into your machine to be cut. It can cut any material that can be cut without a mat, including cardstock, sticker paper and even printable vinyl. If you're working with stiffer materials, you can use the Sheet Feeder to create a shallower cut instead of cutting them all the way through which can help prevent them from becoming loose or jamming the machine.
To get started, simply attach the base to the bottom of your machine by inserting it into the feet on the bottom of the plastic base. Then place the sheet feeder on top of it and secure it with a rubber band. Finally, plug the two USB cords into your computer (there is one short cord that connects between the sheet feeder and the machine and a longer cable that connects from the sheet feeder to the computer - it cannot be used via Bluetooth).
Once you're done with the setup, it's time to start using the sheet feeder! Open up Silhouette Studio and then select the 'Send' tab. Once you're in the Send tab, click on 'Send to Machine' and then select the Auto Sheet Feeder option from the drop down menu. Make sure to confirm that the correct page size is selected and the 'Registration Marks' box is checked.
Once you've finished with the print and cut job, your work will be ejected from the bottom of the feeder or from the back of the machine if you're using a Portrait 3 model machine. Then it's just a matter of removing your pieces and enjoying them! This is a great accessory to have for any crafter and will definitely make your crafting experience much more enjoyable. I hope you found this article helpful and that you'll consider adding the auto sheet feeder to your craft collection! You can purchase one online or at most major retailers. Happy crafting!
